Create a visually striking poster to promote the spring session of Dr. Kathryn Ritchot's EFT seminar, designed to capture attention quickly while communicating key information with clarity.
Colour palettes were developed from Dr. Ritchot's original artwork, grounding the design in an existing visual language while introducing a cohesive and contemporary system.
Neue Haas Grotesk Text Pro was selected for its balance of professionalism and readability. Its clarity at a distance supports the poster's function in public spaces, while its range of weights allows for a structured and intuitive hierarchy.
A range of visual directions were explored, using the established palettes as a foundation. This phase focused on testing tone and composition to identify an approach that felt both engaging and appropriate to the subject matter.
Through review and refinement, a periwinkle and yellow palette was established as the final direction. Original photography was produced to replace stock imagery, resulting in a more accurate and intentional representation of EFT practices.
Final adjustments were made to refine hierarchy, balance, and legibility. The completed poster was prepared for print at 11 x 17 inches in CMYK, ensuring consistency and impact in its final form.
